Launched in 2000 ignition.ie publishes Artist's Books.

 

A defining characteristic of our mission statement is that the Artists we commission are selected purely on the basis of their work which can only be considered anonymously.

 

We publish small hand made editions and industry-printed larger editions. Some of our books are text-heavy while others mainly have images.

 

The keystone of our curatorial policy is an insistence on appropriate production values. If a book needs to be hardback or of a certain heft, for example, that's how it will be. In short, we regard every aspect of the books we commission as being as central as the 'contents'.
